The actor has just announced over (his first) Facebook Live video, that the male dance film will be adapted to the stage at the Hard Rock Casino in Vegas, next March.
But no, we won’t be seeing Channing shirtless and doing the side-worm on stage (unless he decides to do a surprise appearance, which we’re all for, obvs).
The 36-year-old made the surprise announcement via Facebook Live, where he revealed that the show “Magic Mike Live” will debut at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas in Spring 2017.
Will Tatum and fellow Magic Mike alums appear in the show? In fact, if you go to the Magic Mike Live website, you’ll be explicitly asked to “confess what you really want”. “So you have to tell us what you want”.
Channing’s got that covered – or should we say uncovered – too. There will be seating for 450 guests. – I was thinking, “What’s the next step for Magic Mike?”‘ Released in 2012, it racked in $167.2 million at the box office worldwide. Choreographer Alison Faulk, who worked on the original movie, will return for the Vegas production.
MAGIC MIKE will be hitting the strip – literally. The cast for the much-awaited sequel featured former WWE wrestler Kevin Nash in the role of “Tarzan” and actor Joe Manganiello reprising his Magic Mike role as “Big Dick Richie”.

He says that it’ll be starting in March 2017, so you have plenty of time to save up your moolah to purchase plane tickets to Vegas, baby! It’s all part of a vibe that is both unabashedly naughty while decidedly tongue-in-cheek. Joining him were some of the performers who we’ll now be able to see up close and personal like Rodrigo, Jesse from Texas, Vince from Montreal and Brendan from Iowa, just to name a few.
