Chargers continue free fall, lose fifth straight to Broncos

The Broncos’ 17-3 win over the Chargers on Sunday gave Osweiler three straight wins, with his latest being his second on the road. He knows the starting job is his until Manning recovers from his plantar fascia problems. It’s unlikely, however, that he’ll participate in practice. “That is how we want it to be every week”.

“When you have nine of them (losses), they all hurt at this point because there have been so many”, Philip Rivers said after Sunday’s performance.

According to Denver Broncos Head Coach Gary Kubiak, quarterback Brock Osweiler will get another start this weekend against the division rival Oakland Raiders.

Brock Osweiler had himself a decent day following the biggest victory of his pro career, completing 16-of-26 passes for 166 yards, a touchdown and an interception. While there certainly are issues with the offense, injuries have depleted the offensive line and he’s working with a rookie running back.

Mike McCoy’s Chargers lost to the Denver Broncos yesterday and are now just 3-9 on the season.

Kubiak added: “He’s been conditioning with [Strength and Conditioning Coach] Luke [Richesson] as best he can”.

McCoy said he can tell if players care.

“He’s been conditioning with Luke as best he can”. Kubiak said it was a similar injury to the one with which Bolden struggled during training camp. When the two teams got together three weekends ago, the Chiefs hammered the Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium, winning 33-3.

“But there’s always a process to getting back on that field and running around, so hopefully we can get some of that started this week”. He said Manning is not ready for team drills.

“When the defense was on the field, it was loud”, Thomas said about the crowd. “But it’s nothing like going out and throwing an out route or those types of things”.

We also say some live updates during yesterday’s games that announced a number of injuries.

The Broncos went up 14-0 at the very end of the first quarter when Rivers, under pressure deep in his own territory, tried to force a pass over the middle to Antonio Gates. He was immobilized on a back board and taken off the field on a cart.

The Bolts suffered a 17-3 defeat to the Denver Broncos showing no passion, no fire and it seems as though the once promising team in September has dwindled down to just the motions.
