Charging the iPhone 7 While Using Headphones is a Mess

What do you think of the new iPhone 7?
Models of the iPhone in a shiny, jet black finish appear to be the most popular. Where these two differ in terms of design other than size, is the iPhone 7 has a singular lens on the rear, while the iPhone 7 Plus has a dual camera setup – more on that in a minute.
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus include an update to the camera, adding a 12-megapixel sensor.
The size increase, extra camera functions, longer battery life and potential for sharper display images mean an extra £120 on top of the standard model though. The iPhone 7 starts at $649; the Plus starts at $769. Eventually, you’d run into an issue with ensuring launch day stock for even those customers, but some sort of priority ranking would make sense especially when you lose the ability to take advantage of third-party inventory. If you ever meet him, that is. The new iPhone is instead using the Lightning port for both charging and headphone listening, forcing consumers to either get an adapter for their existing headphones, or instead use the included ear buds, which won’t work with anything else.
Basically, if you want to listen to music from your iPhone then you’ll need a compatible pair of headphones – or a Bluetooth pair.
The rumors about iPhone’s new camera were somewhat true.
In an announcement on Wednesday, Apple introduced its latest iPhones – the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Others point out that it could be done by having Bluetooth headphones as well.
A few additional bits and pieces should be glanced upon in our article of iPhone 7 “gotchas” – everything from a lack of liquid damage warranty to the scratch resistance (or lack thereof) in the Jet Black edition. It is available only on the Apple.com website. The main problem is the removal of the headphone jack, though it seems that the lack of enough (visual) differentiating features compared to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus also play a part in this.
Which sort of defeats the goal of buying it.

During the announcement, I was anxious the AirPods would only work with the iPhone 7 models, but as soon as the keynote was over and Apple’s website was updated, I saw the AirPod compatability list, which includes every Apple watch, every phone back to the iPhone 5, every iPad back to the Air and Mini 2, and sixth-generation iPod Touch models.
