Charles Tillman announces retirement from the NFL
It’s also the way he chose to announce his retirement.

This is pretty great, if also a little (a lot) odd. Regardless, we enjoyed it.
Tillman was drafted by the Bears in the second round of the 2003 draft out of Louisiana-Lafayette.
“I’ve had 13 incredible years on two great teams and I’m just thankful for the love and support that I got from my teammates, the fans and my coaches”, Tillman said, via the Bears official website.
In 2013, Tillman was named the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year.
One NFC championship, two Pro-Bowls, first-team AP All-Pro, and a patented “Peanut punch” where he mastered the art of knocking a ball loose from an opponent highlights his time in the windy city.
Last season, Tillman was part of the Carolina Panthers’ path to the Super Bowl. “I’m thankful to everyone who has helped me get to where I am right now because I definitely didn’t do it by myself”.

In 2012, Tillman tied Osi Umenyiora’s National Football League record 10 forced fumbles in a season.
