“The guys that we’re taking down there played and have helped us win before”.

Who knows if it made a difference, but it certainly didn’t hurt.

Late Thursday night, it was reported that more than 30 Charleston Southern Buccaneers had been suspended for Saturday’s game against the Florida State Seminoles.

Deondre Francois picked up his second touchdown pass of the game, this one also to Travis Rudolph, from 21 yards out to make it 21-0 Seminoles.

If it’s possible to win by six touchdowns in sloppy fashion, FSU did it.

“He outkicked the coverage”, Wilson said, referring to CSU punter Truett Burns.

“You can second guess yourself all day, and I’m sad it happened – if it happened – I mean, getting injured”, Fisher said of James.

That, Jimbo Fisher said, left no time for improvements.

Cook, for his part, finished with fewer total yards than he did in last week’s opener against MS, but, on occasion, appeared to flash more of the burst and elusiveness that have become his trademarks over the last few seasons. FSU has won the last two meetings.

“It was good to see him get back”.

It was a nightmare that Ole Miss fans rarely experience.

Junior linebacker and West Ashley alum Bobby Ruff tweeted a statement Friday morning saying “I am quite honestly appalled at the situation we have at hand concerning the “bookstore violations”.since my freshman year in 2014 I, along with all my other teammates, have been told by employees in the CSU bookstore that we are able to use our leftover book money”.

Dalvin Cook ran for two touchdowns and had 83 yards on 11 carries. His first touchdown of the season capped a 10-play, 80-yard drive in just one minute, 45 seconds and gave his team a commanding 28-6 lead over the Seminoles. That’s what I tell our guys.

Second half adjustments proved effective for the Seminoles, going on a 30-0 scoring run on their way to a major victory in the process. The touchdown was his first career reception, but Tate is hopeful it’s the first of many.

Freshman Ricky Aguayo later made it a flawless 7-for-7 on the season with a 46-yard field goal that provided the final margin. Wide receiver Auden Tate got his chance to shine, pulling in a touchdown and a nice 12-yard snag, as well as defensive end Brian Burns (two sacks, forced fumble). Today’s game has an afternoon start time and will air on a specialty TV channel as well as being available on a live stream online option.

The Seminoles also continued a welcome trend of creating turnovers.

Charleston Southern: QB London Johnson. “But I feel like after these two games, I’m coming into my own as a quarterback”.

Looks like buying other academic supplies other than books can get you suspended thanks to the NCAA, and Charleston Southern has found that out the hard way.
