Charlie Sheen’s advice for Johnny Manziel
Dallas police announced on Friday that they’re investigating Manziel after they “received a complaint of a domestic violence assault” in relation to the January 30 incident involving Manziel’s ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley. The protective order requires Manziel to stay at least 500 feet away from Crowley’s home and work for the next two years, and Manziel was also ordered to pay $12,000 in legal fees.

According to a redacted police report, Crowley told investigators she and Manziel were alone Saturday at an upscale hotel in Dallas after hanging out with friends earlier. The elder Manziel is anxious that Johnny could be dead by December if he doesn’t get help.
The announcement of the investigation comes a day after police had stated that the investigation was closed and that Manziel would not face charges for allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley.
Burkhardt says he will remain supportive of the 23-year-old player.
The Browns issued a statement last weekend expressing disappointment in Manziel, and indicating the team plans to release him this spring.
“The NFL definitely has everything that it needs to be able to help him, all the resources that it needs to help”, Bush said.
“Johnny has not responded to us, but we’ll do anything we can to help him personally and our thoughts and prayers are with Johnny and his family”, Haslam told reporters in San Francisco ahead of the Super Bowl. The Associated Press left messages seeking comment for Manziel, his parents and a lawyer who represented the player when he was at Texas A&M. He went to an alcohol- and drug-treatment center in Caron, Pennsylvania, in early 2015, soon after the end of his rookie National Football League season. Simply put, if a historically awful franchise such as the Cleveland Browns can not find a place for you, then who will? “I am hopeful that everyone will understandably respect my wish for privacy at this time”, Crowley said in a statement.

The Johnny Manziel saga has become less about how he measures as an National Football League quarterback (to those still concerned with that, the answer is still “not well”) and more about his personal well-being. League spokesman Greg Aiello said in an email to the AP that “we are aware of the police report”. He was cleared of wrongdoing after police were called when he and Crowley got into a heated roadside argument in Avon, Ohio.
