Adele has become the most successful solo artist in a single year at the Brit Awards after she took home four major trophies.

She closed the show with a stunning performance of When We Were Young, which must have come as a relief after her recent Grammy performance of All I Ask was marred by sound glitches and left Adele in tears for the entire next day.
Jess Glynne was one of the first stars to arrive at tonight’s BRIT Awards 2016 – and she made sure all eyes were on her!
The singer is nominated in four categories, including album of the year for global chart-topper “25”.
“I got really lost for a while – I didn’t know if I’d ever come back”, she said.
She also brought out TDE’s first lady SZA to perform ANTI opener “Consideration”.
Adele, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Coldplay also performed at the Brit Awards at London’s O2 Arena.
Tik Tok singer Kesha is now involved in a lawsuit against her mentor Dr Luke, and on Friday was pictured in tears in court when she was denied a preliminary injunction which would allow her to record music outside of her contract with Dr Luke’s label Kemosabe Records, which is owned by Sony. “They could be us and we could be them, so we send them our love and thank you so much for giving us our job”. “Thank you is not enough but it is all I have”. She was the only artist or group to receive more than one award at the ceremony.
“It is a shame that half of United Kingdom music has been somehow forgotten about which is a bit disappointing and a little bit embarrassing to be honest”, he said on the red carpet.
Adele said: “I’d like to take a quick second to thank my management and my record label for embracing the fact I’m a woman and being encouraged by it and I’d also like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha”. Singer Chris Martin dedicated the award “to all the young men and women musicians in refugee camps around the world”.
Brit Awards organizer the British Phonographic Industry has promised to look at how nominees and winners are selected, “to ensure they reflect the full range of engagement with recorded music”.

Oldman gave a heart-warming speech before introducing singer Lorde who performed a tribute, and Oldman said Bowie had thought was “the future of music”.
