Chase to offer ATM withdrawal by smartphone
Chase as well as other banks has rolled out new as well as upgraded ATMs in their continuing effort of replacing the bank tellers at branches once needed to handle all the routine transactions of customers. Apply Pay and Samsung Pay use the same technology for shopping checkouts. The report, citing “a source familiar with the terms on the projects”, says that the companies have both placed employees on multi-month long assignments to integrate the Apple Pay options into ATMs around the country.

Wells Fargo, which now supports Google’s Android Pay mobile wallet, said it is in plans to roll out technology to connect ATMs to digital wallets in the second quarter of this year.
When asked about whether its ATMs would work with Apple Pay, Bank Of America’s Consumer Banking Products press representative Betty Riess told me “We already have number of mobile wallet programs…” implying Apple Pay could join them. Dolphin Debit also is also equipping its ATMs with signage to let cardholders know whether that device is enabled for chip cards, the release said. That’s not a problem with JPMorgan Chase’s new ATMs, which will be rolled out nationwide this year.
Apple also did not respond to a request for comment. They then receive a one-time use code, find the nearest ATM and enter the code on the machine’s keypad to complete the withdrawal. Credit and debit cards, though, will not be phased out.
Soon, losing your ATM card won’t be the financial life-stopping event it used to be.

Chase cardless withdrawals are carried out via the bank’s mobile app. To make a withdrawal, a customers simply opens the Chase app and enters the amount of cash desired. Unfortunately there is no word on when we can expect Apple Pay integration, but it’s something that customers can look forward to.
