Even though the start of the event was delayed by severe weather, the rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of those survivors and caregivers who gathered Saturday morning.
The event included an Opening Ceremony and Survivors’ Victory Lap. Relay For Life takes place from 6:00 PM -10:00 PM on August 5th 2016 at Warren Lumber Jack Gym. Many prize drawings and items will be for sale in an effort to raise money and awareness for cancer.
The Relay for Life event helps individuals by showing them that comfort, healing and support can be found by sharing with others who have experienced cancer in some form in their lives; directly or through loved ones.
The Luminaria Ceremony will begin at 9 p.m. Friday followed by the Remembrance Lap at 9:30 p.m.
“What Relay for Life is, is just a walk”, said Pam Orr, a member of the Relay For Life with a Teton View organization.
