Florida State will conclude its 2015 home campaign and look extend its nation-leading home winning streak to 21 games Saturday at 3pm against Chattanooga.

One of those is sending out the current senior class with the most victories in school history.

For a group that has a national championship and three Atlantic Coast Conference titles on its resume, getting to 50 would cap an impressive run.

“It is important to have a record like that because it separates you from the great teams”, said safety Lamarcus Brutus, who has a team-leading two interceptions. Their lone win came against Georgia State in 2013….

Without a true point guard, Florida State needed to get a big effort from its post players. They are 1-1 after Thursday’s game. When they host Chattanooga at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday, FSU will be ready for Seminole fans to rock the house. The 12 on scholarship is tied with Miami for ninth fewest in FBS.

The defense is a huge reason why the Seminoles are 8-2 and ranked 14th in the College Football Playoffs.

The Florida State men’s basketball team is in the Virgin Islands for the Paradise Jam this weekend. In what surprised a lot of people, most of the Florida State fan base was okay with the changes, as Nike did really do a good job with the changes to one of the more recognizable uniforms in sports.

The scholarship seniors include starters, safety Lamarcus Brutus, defensive back Javien Elliott, defensive tackle Nile Lawrence-Stample and linebackers Reggie Northrup and Terrance Smith; along with punter Cason Beatty, quarterback Everett Golson, defensive back Tyler Hunter, long snapper Barrett Kernon, defensive tackle Derrick Mitchell, defensive end Giorgio Newberry and defensive back Keelin Smith.

Fisher said that as coaches the day is like watching their own kids leave home. Or would you rather them stick to garnet-and-gold?

The Seminoles (1-1) led for most of the second half, though they weren’t able to get any breathing room until midway through the fourth quarter.
