The FA has handed fines to both Chelsea and Tottenham for failing to control their players, in the 2-2 draw. The fact that both clubs are fined will come as a surprise to absolutely no one, as both teams had moments during the match where their players acted abhorrently.
The hosts have been hit with a £375,000 fine, while Spurs will have to fork out £225,000 as punishment for the scenes that occurred during the 2-2 draw on May 2.
Spurs had nine players booked during the match, with Mousa Dembele also receiving a six-match ban for violent conduct after he made contact with Chelsea striker Diego Costa’s eyes during one of a number of player clashes.
The match ended in an ill-tempered confrontation between most players and numerous staff in both the Spurs and Chelsea dugouts.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have been fined £375,000 ($540,000) and £225,000 ($324,000) respectively after admitting to failing to control their players.
The unusually large size of the fines was triggered by Chelsea and Tottenham’s previous charges for similar offenses over the last 18 months.

“Following the Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, both clubs were also warned as to their future conduct”.
