Chelsea: Antonio Conte Leaves This Star In Dark Over Future
WITH no European competitions clogging up their schedules, Chelsea and Liverpool are placing more importance on the English Football League Cup than usual this season.

The Foxes surged into a two-goal lead thanks to Shinji Okazaki’s first-half brace.
“There are two keys for this match”, Ranieri told Sky Sports after the game.
“When we concede a goal, all the team concedes a goal, not only the defenders”, he said.
“At that point it was very hard against a team with high quality. I know that we can improve a lot”.
The Dutch legend believes Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Cesc Fabregas should be given a chance in the Chelsea team against Arsenal.
The 35-year-old, who started Chelsea’s opening four league games this season, damaged his ankle ligaments during a 2-2 draw at Swansea City earlier this month and was initially expected to be out for around 10 days.
“I have spoken with Conte; he is a coach who has a very particular playing philosophy”, he explained.
New Manager Antonio Conte has opted to select a midfield of N’Golo Kante, Nemanja Matic and Oscar for his regular starting XI; leaving Fabregas on the outside looking in.
Then in extra time, Fabregas produces two neat finishes in the space of two minutes to seal win for the Blues. No matter what I hear or what they say to me, Arsenal will always be a fantastic, special club in my heart.
“I’m pleased with his attitude, with his commitment in the last game”. Liverpool is a record eight-time League Cup victor, while Chelsea is joint-second in the all-time list of trophy winners with five titles.
“If you ask me if I’m happy with the goals we conceded, I’m not happy, it’s true”, Conte said.

“I’m very clear with my players: when a player deserves to play, I put him in the team”, he added, suggesting that Fabregas might now be in contention to face former club Arsenal next week.
