Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho dismisses suggestion of Diego Costa falling-out

“I expect Diego to come back strongly”, said Ivanovic, who had captained the side at White Hart Lane in the absence of the injured John Terry.

“I think Diego is very privileged because he was the last one to be (put) on the bench”, Mourinho added.

“Everybody was on the bench”.

“This is important. When we start losing we all know it’s not about the one or two players playing badly or playing well – it’s about the team”, Ivanovic was quoted saying in the Daily Mirror. We won against Norwich, we drew here and we play a good game at home next week which we have to win.

However, at one point in the match it did like the Spanish worldwide was going to come into the match, when the Portuguese tactician asked Costa start warming up with 15 minutes left in the contest.

“A top player on the bench is not happy, so for me his behaviour was normal”.

Chelsea are now languishing down to the 14th spot in standings, with just four wins from the 14 games which they have played.

Current Chelsea Player of the Season Eden hazard says he is not concerned by his lack of goals, and is confident he will return to his best soon.

Chelsea have confirmed that Costa will not be fined for the incident. He scored a lot of goals, 22 past year.

With the most recent development, it seems like it is not just Costa’s confidence that is keeping him on the sidelines and the issue runs deeper than that. “I am happy with the team collectively”. “Why change if we think we can not improve?” It is a good result, we didn’t have many good chances but Lloris made a good save from me. It s a good thing that, maybe, we are a bigger club than Chelsea or that we deserve more. “I am convinced at the end of December we will be in a different position than we are now and shorten the distance to the top teams, and our feeling will be different”.

‘I learn how to live without the happiness of winning matches, ‘ he said. We’re a bit disappointed.

“We created enough chances to score”.

And one of those includes ex-Blues shot-stopper Bosnich, who can’t see Costa making peace for Mourinho any time soon.

Chelsea, though, were unable to find the finish that might have given them the breakthrough, with Mourinho’s side failing to muster a single effort on target during the first half.
