Chelsea captain speaks out on contract stalemate

Asked after Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United whether anything had changed, he told Sky Sports: “Not from my point of view”.
Terry, however, admitted that the most important thing at the moment was to bring Chelsea back on track, Sport24 reported.
The Guus Hiddink-led side will now play against Newcastle on February 13.
‘I said what I had to say, that was how it was.
Terry on Sunday made his first appearance at Stamford Bridge since declaring Chelsea would not be extending his contract this summer.
“I’ve made it very clear I want to stay, but more important is getting up to where we should be in the table”.
‘There is no communication between myself and the club at the minute. The fans were incredible, for me the best fans in the world. What they’ve done for me, I’ll never forget – those memories will stay with me forever, ‘ Terry added.
Hiddink said: “He is not focusing on this issue”.
“I can’t think of one reason why you wouldn’t want him here”.
“What they’ve done and given for me as a young 14 and 17-year-old boy…”
As the highest scoring defender in Premier League history, John Terry dispelled the belief long ago that those at the back, lack composure in front of goal, struggling to find the target.
