Chelsea Clinton introduces her ‘wonderful, thoughtful, hilarious’ mother at the DNC
Barack Obama hugs Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton after addressing the Democratic National Convention, July 27.

During Hillary Clinton’s first presidential bid in 2008, the former first daughter went to great lengths to avoid the press, and on one memorable occasion told a fourth-grade “kid reporter” from Scholastic News that she “doesn’t talk to the press”. Chants of “Hillary!, Hillary!”, rang out throughout the arena.
Over the course of her almost 60-minute speech, the former First Lady, U.S. Senator and Secretary of State, cast the election as a profound choice between Trump’s pessimism and a more forward-looking vision. “America is stronger because of President Obama’s leadership and I’m better because of his friendship”, Clinton said.
She said details should be a “big deal” to the president. “Bernie your campaign inspired millions of Americans”, she said.
Asking Trump if he had ever read the U.S. Constitution, Khan pulled out a pocket book of the document and said: “I will gladly lend you my copy”. “Your cause is our cause”.
Clinton entered and soaked up the moment, walking to both ends of the stage of the Wells Fargo Center.
“He wants to divide us from the rest of the world and each other”, she said. Clinton asserted that Americans have to decide if they are willing to work together, in an effort to thrive together. “I will be a president for Democrats, Republicans, independents, for the struggling, the striving and the successful”. “Instead, we will build an economy where everyone who wants a good paying job can get one”.
Chelsea Clinton, Hillary Clinton’s only daughter, spoke at the Democratic National Convention Thursday night, delivering an account of her mother as someone who was “always there” for her personally and a “fighter” professionally. “Americans don’t say ‘I alone will fix it, ‘ they say, ‘We’ll fix it together'”.
Clinton mocked Trump for saying in his convention speech last week that he “alone” can fix the nation’s problem.
Wednesday’s display was the picture of diversity that Democrats have sought to frame the whole week: The first African-American president symbolically seeking to hand the weightiest baton in the free world to a woman. How does she keep going amid the sound and the fury of politics? “He is trying to tell us he cares about the middle class. Give me a break. A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons”, Clinton said. There’s something else my mother taught me: “Public service is about service”. “Hillary Clinton is the Democrats’ most scandal-plagued and dishonest nominee in their party’s history”, said NCGOP Chairman Robin Hayes.
Even as she highlighted her life story, Clinton took made reference to Trump.
“This November, i’m voting for a woman who is my role model as a mother and as an advocate, a woman who has spent her entire life fighting for families and children”, she said.
Clinton called Thursday night a milestone for America in its quest for a more flawless union.
“When any barrier falls in America, it clears the way for everyone”.
I believe that Wall Street can never be allowed to wreck Main Street again.
“You didn’t hear anything like this from Donald Trump at his convention, did you?” Trump and Clinton have argued that those agreements help send U.S.jobs overseas. “We could not stand on the sidelines”, Allen said, backed by a gaggle of military veterans. “Imagine him in the Oval Office facing a real crisis”, she said.
She also attacked Trump’s statement about him knowing more about ISIS than national security officials saying “No Donald, you don’t”.
She also addressed the notion that she wants to infringe upon the Second Amendment.
As the former secretary of state took the stage, women and men waved American flags, cheered, or wiped away tears.
Chelsea Clinton, who has been in the public eye since her childhood in the White House, took a low profile after her father left office in 2001. She also bridged the connection between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
