Asked by Cooper about why she is waiting until a possible presidency to make the changes rather than implement them immediately, Clinton said, “Obviously, there will be some unique circumstances”.
Now Georgia’s top Trump surrogates are amplifying the nominee’s call for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton’s emails and involvement with the Clinton Foundation while she ran the State Department.
Clinton’s campaign said the AP analysis was flawed: “It is outrageous to misrepresent Secretary Clinton’s basis for meeting with these individuals”, spokesman Brian Fallon said.
“It is impossible to figure out where the Clinton Foundation ends and the State Department begins”, he said at a rally Tuesday night in Austin, Texas.
Trump, who is badly trailing Clinton in all major States and has reset his campaign last week, according to The Hill, sees the Clinton’s email expose as an opportunity to give a boost to his presidential campaign.
Clinton has reportedly told FBI investigators that her use of the private server was inspired by former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who has pushed back against the suggestion, saying, “Her people have been trying to pin it on me”. That move would not affect more than 6,000 donors who have already provided the Clinton charity with more than $2 billion in funding since its creation in 2000.
“There’s a lot of potential conflicts and a lot of potential problems”, said Douglas White, an expert on nonprofits at Columbia University.
He also defended Hillary Clinton’s contact with donors to the foundation while serving as secretary of state, saying foundation donors like Bangladeshi economist and Nobel Peace Prize victor Muhammad Yunus have no trouble reaching officials around the world. Throughout the process, he pleaded for help in messages routed to Clinton, and she ordered aides to find ways to assist him.
Trump’s name is listed on the Clinton Foundation’s website as having given between $100,001 and $250,000.
The question is whether Clinton can pull off that well-known sports tactic until November, especially in the wake of the Associated Press’s devastating “State Department-for-sale” expose.

And in June 2011, Clinton met with Nancy Mahon of MAC AIDS, the charitable arm of MAC Cosmetics, which is owned by Estee Lauder.
