CHELSEA, Conte: “Wenger has a great reputation”

Cesc Fabregas looks set to make his first Premier League start of the season for Chelsea in Saturday night’s clash with Arsenal.

The Spaniard has yet to start a Premier League game under Conte this season, with the Italian tactician preferring a midfield pairing of Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kante.

Chelsea are now 5th in the PL and will have their work cut out against 4th place Arsenal, who have scored 8 goals in their last two matches with commanding wins against Hull City in the Premier League and also a 4-1 win against Nottingham Forrest in the EFL Cup Third Round.

“For Cesc this is a special game but the most important thing for Cesc now is that he is a Chelsea player and he is playing very well for Chelsea”.

Not only is he suited for the role but he’s earned a start especially with Arsenal coming up.

“For Zouma, I hope to see him in the training sessions next week. We know we must work a lot and if someone thinks this team now is ready to fight, I think we must wait and work to improve a lot and to come back a great team not only on paper, but on the pitch”. They play good football.

“I said this before we have two defeats and this message is good for the present and for the future”.

“I think that when we conceded goals, all the team conceded”.

Conte, however, says defensive concerns are nothing new at Stamford Bridge and has called on the team as a whole to become more solid. This problem was already there last season because Chelsea conceded 55 goals. It is incredible to concede three goals.

Conte believes his side are now a work-in-progress, though, and he is hoping to see them improve: “We are working to try and improve and reach a level always high”. The manager must also coach and do work every day during the week.

“Conte? He’s a great coach with a special philosophy, we like him”.

“I have never thought of leaving Chelsea”.

Ahead of the game, Blues boss Antonio Conte has been speaking with the media today at his pre-match press conference and has confirmed a big injury blow for their trip across London. “Whether it is two back, three back or four back, I must find the right solution for this team and I work a lot to do this”.
