Chelsea door not shut for Terry, says Hiddink
Asked about the timing of Terry’s announcement on Sunday in wake of the club’s 5-1 FA Cup annihilation of MK Dons, Hiddink said: “It was a bit surprising, but it’s entirely up to him to do so”.

The 35-year-old central defender has spent his entire career at Chelsea and last May won the Premier League title for the fourth time.
“He is a fantastic servant of Chelsea Football Club and a superb captain and, as such, the club will keep the channels of dialogue open”, the statement read.
John Terry will sign a new deal to remain at Chelsea, former club captain Marcel Desailly has predicted.
The news took Chelsea by surprise with the club insisting they will hold further talks with Terry.
Chelsea say John Terry could yet be offered a contract extension after the captain announced he would be leaving this summer.
‘It was sad by John [the announcement],’ said Hiddink. “It took me a couple of days to get over”.
But former Liverpool, Tottenham and England midfielder Murphy claims if there is no deal on the table by now, it is unlikely Terry will be offered one at all. “It’s going to be my a year ago and I want to go out at the top”. You have to see what’s coming up with the transition of the new manager as well. Luiz led Chelsea’s back-line in their 2012 UEFA Champions League final triumph over Bayern Munich, a game Terry regrettably missed due to suspension.
With only 15 games of the season left, we can now confirm JT (currently on 477 career appearances) will NOT make it into the Premier League’s highly exclusive 500 club. “I want to give everything and finish on a high, on 100% good terms with the club”. Since I have been at the club, I haven’t seen him play badly.
“There was no specific decision made”.
“Ideally I would have loved to stay, but the club’s moving in a different direction”, he said.

“I think it became clear this season with the mutiny, for want of a better word, that maybe JT didn’t have the power of old to bring it all back into line”. Remy was due to join Leicester City but the deal was blocked, while Falcao was expected to move to China, a move that could yet be completed as the Super League transfer window is open until 26 February.
