Chelsea draws 2-2 as Oscar misses late penalty
In the first game of his second spell in charge at Stamford Bridge the Blues drew 2-2 with Watford, but Oscar, reminiscent of John Terry in the 2008 Champions League final, slipped and sent a late penalty over the bar.

Now Guus Hiddink will understand better the scale of the task he has taken on at Chelsea. It should have posed little threat, but instead took a heavy deflection off Cahill and went sailing in beyond Courtois’ reach in the 56th minute.
“And it depends on the development as well and what is going on in the next few games”.
“Generally, I set targets”, Hiddink said.
Musonda, the 19-year-old attacking midfielder, seems the most likely to be given a chance by Hiddink. He knows me as a player not as a coach. “I can not have any complaints about him”. Let’s give the kid time to settle and practise with the academy first and then with us.
“The loan is a strategical issue, which we have to discuss in-house”.
But Hiddink – who revealed he had a similar outburst while a player with Dutch club De Graafschap – is backing Costa to keep his emotions in check and win over disgruntled supporters by re-discovering his scoring touch.
“What has happened in the recent past, they [the players] have to learn a lesson and show ambition to go forward”. One of the banners that has long hung in tribute to Mourinho from the Matthew Harding stand was absent though, down at the Shed End, another sporting the Portuguese’s image and the message “One of us” remained. “We need to go into a sequence of positive results”. “I thought I’d performed but I threw off my armband and threw it at him”, he said. “The team reacted at 2-1 down, they reacted well”. But we are ready for the experience.
“The players at that time were big players, leaders”, Hiddink added. “They have several variants on the pitch and we’re expecting a hard match”.
“Playing two games in three games is a new experience for me, but most important is the players”.
“His reaction was good, when he was booed he had a very good reaction as a professional”, he said.
“He is a lovely man, a amusing man and a simple man. He is very humble”.
‘You can play with all the creative players – like Matic and Oscar, Willian coming inside and Fabregas as well – but sometimes we have to choose the different way’. It was 21 years ago, but things change.
Guus Hiddink’s second reign as interim Chelsea manager begins with a 2-2 draw at home to Watford.
At one point in the second half that run looked likely to be extended to five.
Watford, who have reported no new injuries, have won their last four matches, including a memorable 3-0 win against Liverpool last time out.
Mourinho had written off Chelsea’s hopes of making the top four days before his sacking and two points dropped against the Hornets hasn’t done the Blues any favours.

Oscar’s botched penalty was symptomatic of Chelsea’s lack of confidence, but Hiddink focused on the positives in his post-match interview with Sky Sports.
