Chelsea gossip: John Stones update and Terry back Falcao to shine
The media-fuelled John Stones saga has entered its next phase with reports claiming that Chelsea are preparing a third and possibly final bid for John Stones, while both Manchester clubs have supposedly entered the running for Everton’s prized defender. The former Real Madrid star is set to complete a move to Paris Saint Germain in the next 48 hours. Di Maria’s exit will pave the way for United to sign Pedro for £22million.

Manchester United will offer England defender Jonny Evans plus cash in their bid to sign Everton player John Stones.
The Blues have publicly confirmed their interest in the 21-year-old after Jose Mourinho insisted the reigning Premier League champions will look to sign Stones before the 1 September transfer deadline, but the Toffees have remained defiant in their decision not to sell the talented defender and rejected Chelsea’s second offer of £26m earlier this week.
Kenwright is unlikely to be moved, even at the £30m that Evening Standard suggest will be Chelsea’s ceiling, with the majority of reports asserting that Everton will start listening to offers at £34m. Balotelli has been asked to train away from the first team. The two clubs are yet to agree on a transfer fee.
Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray is expected to join Bournemouth.
Palermo want to sign Arsenal’s Costa Rica striker Joel Campbell but are struggling with the £7million valuation. Reported by the Daily Star.

Tottenham and Liverpool are also interested in Young, according to the paper, but it would be a huge surprise if Newcastle were keen on him given he’s 30 years old, with club policy not to sign anyone over the age of 27.
