Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho downplays spat with Diego Costa during Maccabi

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was “disappointed” with Diego Costa’s first-half performance during the during the 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv, but says the two made up with “kisses and cuddles” following a half-time argument. “At half-time in the dressing room there were a few kisses and a few cuddles”.

The victory against an Israeli outfit that has lost every group game so far, means Chelsea are level on points with Porto and two ahead of Dynamo Kiev going into the last round of matches in two weeks.

On first glance, the turf looked in decent condition, but was cutting up very badly even just a few minutes into the game; at one point, Mourinho himself walked out onto the pitch to replace a massive divot.

“I prefer to think we have to win our match and that’s it”.
