Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas says he never considered leaving the club
Conte praised the Spain global for his work behind the scenes in improving his defensive contribution after the match, while Fabregas hopes a demonstration of his more widely celebrated attacking talents has made a compelling case ahead of Saturday’s game against his former club Arsenal.

He said: “I want to win and my choice is done to win”.
“It was already [a problem] in the last season”, claimed Conte. “Chelsea conceded 55 goals [it was actually 53 in the Premier League]”.
Prior to the game at the Emirates, Fabregas – who left Arsenal for Barcelona in 2011 – revealed he still retains a fondness for his former club.
Only six Premier League games in and things look dire for Conte, with his defence crumbling under the slightest of pressure, while they had to wait until the 83rd minute to get even a shot on target as they were completely overrun in midfield.
Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas denied ever wanting to leave Chelsea despite limited game time since Antonio Conte took over.
“But I hope to see him in the [full] training sessions next week”, Conte said. I don’t know [when he will be back] but, in this case, it’s important what the player feels, and he feels pain. “No matter what I hear or what they say to me, Arsenal will always be a fantastic, special club in my heart”.
“I think that for Cesc, it is a special game for him”, Conte said. But if the opponents think this, they must also think that we can score a lot of goals.
“The first was when we conceded a goal at the end of the first half and the second key was when Wasilewski was sent off”. Not just the defenders.
“I’m sure that we are working to try and improve, and reach a high level in every game”. The problem was there last season.
The Blues’ only clean sheet this season came against Burnley, and they’ve conceded twice in each of their last three matches in all competitions. “We must work a lot on this aspect”.
Wenger is celebrating 20 years at Arsenal, an achievement Conte has great respect for.
