Chelsea move swiftly to begin negotiations over N’Golo Kante transfer
The France global was arguably the pivotal player in Leicester’s remarkable title success last season and Conte will be hoping the 25-year-old can make a similar impression at Stamford Bridge if he can secure his signature. Back on June 24th, the Telegraph wrote that “Leicester City will offer N’Golo Kante £100,000-a-week in a bid to ward off Chelsea, PSG and Arsenal”. However, the Foxes have a £20 million release clause on the Frenchman’s deal.

Or he could play a flat four across the middle, as Kante played in at Leicester last season…
The bidding war for the 25-year-old has got even more intense after the player rejected a contract extension with Leicester, and the club are now ready to sell him for the highest bidder.
Chinese Super League side Shanghai SPIG could be a tough competitor for The Blues as they have the money to outbid Chelsea, but Kante on the other hand has his heart set to Stamford Bridge.
This puts Chelsea in pole position to land Kante’s signature, as they look to rebuild for next season.
Shanghai SIPG have reportedly tabled a €40 million offer for the Leicester star, 15 million more than the player’s buy-out clause which would liberate him from his current contract. He also made four appearances for France at Euro 2016.

Kante enjoyed a hugely impressive 2015/16 club season with title-winning Leicester, playing 33 Premier League games and scoring one goal.
