Chelsea New Boys Unlikely To Start Against Swansea Hints Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte has vowed to “put his sweat into” improving David Luiz and making Chelsea’s new signing the best defender in the world.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is not concerned by the fortunes of his side’s title rivals, insisting Leicester City’s triumph last season shows it is too early to identify favourites.

Conte has brought Luiz back to Stamford Bridge two years after he was sold to Paris Saint Germain in a world record £50 million ($66 million, 59 million euros) deal for a defender. “I think, because of the characteristics of the players, you can play 3-4-3”.

“I think that every player, up until the end of their career, can improve”, he told a news conference ahead of Chelsea’s game against Swansea.

He admits that Luiz and Alonso will need to bed-in and settle down at Chelsea first, indicating that the duo might not feature against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Sunday. I think that’s the most important thing for me, not only to win, lose or draw.

David Luiz is once more a Blues player – but what can he offer this time round?

“[Conte] is giving me a lot of confidence and I’m doing very well”, Oscar said.

“But when I started to work with them, I found a great commitment and attitude”.

‘This transfer market was very hard for us to reach our targets, but at the last minute, on the last day, there was this situation which was good for me and the club to improve the squad. “He has good technique, good personality like Leonardo Bonucci, and he likes to play football”, he said.

He added: ‘I think a great defender must be able to play football.

“We know that David can improve in defensive situations, but it’s good and I’m very happy he stays here”. To defend, yes. But the coach must improve these players.

“For this reason their chance of playing from the start is not high”. “I worked with him for one year and I know he is very good at his job”, Llorente told Swansea’s official website. To improve your players and to work.

He is no bigger than 9/5 to add to his tally at some stage in south Wales so the cat is well and truly out of the bag as his team bid to get back to winning ways against a side they failed to beat last season.

And Conte is keen to remain focused on Chelsea, while maintaining an interest in the outcome of the Manchester derby. “We face a team well-organised with a good manager”.
