“We’re going to have more security personnel than ever assembled over this next week during the UN General Assembly” New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said on CNN. “From the bombs that were undetonated you can often get good evidence”, Cuomo said. Almost 12 hours later, a bomb went off in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City, injuring 29 people.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said the Saturday night blast in Manhattan that injured 29 people didn’t appear to be linked to worldwide terrorism.

Five suspicious devices were found near a train station in Elizabeth, New Jersey late Sunday. Federal Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement descended on an Elmora Avenue home early Monday morning, where Rahami either now lives or used to live.

She would not provide further details but a government official and a law enforcement source said that five people in the vehicle were being questioned at an Federal Bureau of Investigation building in lower Manhattan.

Governor Cuomo told national broadcaster MSNBC that authorities had no information suggesting further attacks, but that people should be ready.

A vehicle was stopped by federal officials at the Verrazano Bridge on Sunday night, and the five occupants inside were taken into questioning.

An unexploded bomb also is found by law enforcement officials at 27th Street. His last known address is located in Elizabeth, New Jersey. According to CNN, the Department of Homeland Security is actively involved in the situations in both NY and New Jersey, trying to confirm if this weekend’s activity is indicative of a possible terror cell.

Among the most important facts that still need to be determined: whether the Chelsea bombing was connected with the failed pipe bombs found in New Jersey on Saturday and Monday morning.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk about the ongoing investigation.

Also on Saturday, a pipe bomb exploded about an hour from the Elizabeth train station in Seaside Park, New Jersey, forcing the cancellation of a military charity run.

The New Jersey State Police tweeted out additional photos of the suspect, saying he is wanted for questioning in the Chelsea and Seaside Park explosions. No injuries were reported, but the partial blast delayed the start of the race in which more than 5,000 runners competed.

Nine people were injured Saturday before an off-duty policeman killed the alleged attacker, a Somali-American.

No one was injured in the blast from the device, which had been left in a backpack placed in a trash can near the station and a bar, Bollwage told reporters earlier.
