Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic: ‘We have to show everyone we’re back’

United now boast of the League’s best defence having conceded the fewest goals in the League this season and they will be looking to use their solid defensive set up as they attempt to curb the attack threat posed by Odion Ighalo.

Whatever happens in the coming months, the Blues must improve the way they integrate their young talent in the youth team into the first team squad.

“We have to show we are back”, The Mirror quotes Ivanovic as saying.

The Stoke City manager has been in support of Mourinho all the way and had this to say about the Chelsea boss, “I don’t think anyone thinks that he won’t.( recover from the current situation)”. Both have won one and lost four of their past five games, and Norwich sits at 15th in the table with 12 points, only one place and one point ahead of Chelsea.

Branislav Ivanovic believes Chelsea are working their way back to the form that saw them win last season’s Premier League title.

Ivanovic has missed the last seven matches, which has included three successive League defeats, after suffering a hamstring injury last month.

This season, though, Costa has struggled and been suspended for more games (three) than he’s scored goals in the top flight (two). That is important, there is nothing negative.

– Chelsea have allowed more shots on target against them than any other team from inside the penalty area this season (49).

“He wants to lift us when we are in hard situations”. This is great for the manager.

Norwich have not beaten Chelsea in the last six meetings between the sides, but they did manage to pick up a positive result the last time they travelled to Stamford Bridge, drawing 0-0 at the end of the 2013-14 season. The reason for the Blues’ slump is down to the players at Stamford Bridge, according to the full-back.

“Players will wear black armbands incorporating the French flag and fans in the Matthew Harding Stand will display a new crowd-surfing flag as the teams emerge from the tunnel for the game”. We have to be strong and be together – it’s the only way to change this.
