Chelsea’s Cuadrado headed back to Serie A with Juventus

Chelsea star Juan Cuadrado has been mobbed by fans as he arrives in Turin for his medical with Juventus, reports the Daily Express.

He moved to Stamford Bridge from Fiorentina in February, but made a limited impact as the Blues won the Capital One Cup and Barclays Premier League title.

The 27-year-old Colombian has had a medical in Turin ahead of a season-long loan move.

Juventus are a great team and one of the best in Europe.

“The fans’ support will give me further motivation to do well”.

Cuadrado only joined the Stamford Bridge side in January, moving from Fiorentina in a deal worth €33m, but has failed to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans.

However, things have never quite worked out for Cuadrado, with his 13 appearances – of which, only four have been starts – failing to reap a single goal.

After landing Pedro from Barcelona, Chelsea are also keen to wrap up another marquee transfer in the form of Paul Pogba from Juventus.

“The opportunity to get Cuadrado presented itself and we took it. Now, it is up to Allegri, who is an excellent coach”. “I’m here to give 100 per cent, work hard and prepare well for every game”.

Agent Alessandro Lucci, who represents Cuadrado in Italy, has revealed to AS that the deal does not include a buy option.

“It is an exciting time for me to join the English Premier League champions and I hope I can become an important player for the club”, Kenedy told the club’s official website.
