Chelsea’s Diego Costa won’t face FA sanctions after Martin Skrtel clash
Skrtel didn’t make a big deal out of at the time, reacting with a simple “Hey!” at which point Costa seemed to quickly realize that he’s done something rather stupid.

Liverpool went on to win 3-1.
Speaking on BT Sport after the game, Webb said: “They (The FA) will have a look I think. But it is a clear red card and Diego Costa is a lucky boy on that occasion”.
Under FA rules, if the incident has been clearly seen by the referee then retrospective action can not be taken. Perhaps a lack of reaction from both players has persuaded the FA to overlook the matter.
Barcelona are considering a move for Chelsea striker Diego Costa according to Don Balon. The ban would be four matches as this would be the second time he was guilty of the offence. The only real teachable moment to take from the Costa škrfuffle was how his victim essentially laughed off the incident. However, despite been taken to the hospital for an x-ray to access the conditions, Costa has expressed optimism that he will be available for selection during weekend when Liverpool visit the Stamford Bridge.
Defeat for Chelsea leaves them down in 15th place, with the pressure continuing to build on manager Jose Mourinho.
