Chelsea Transfer News: £70m for midfielder, Pogba boost, battle for Song
Boss Jose Mourinho is known to want some new star names before the transfer window slams shut. “He’s a Juventus player, I’m the Chelsea manager”. “But for a ideal shape of the squad, one more player would give us a good balance”.

Chelsea face a major challenge to bolster their squad ahead of the close of the transfer window, after Everton insisted they would not part with John Stones. Having bid for him three times already this summer, however, Chelsea may be prepared to tempt Everton with one final offer on deadline day, particularly given their surprising lack of defensive solidity so far this term. The Blues are reportedly in talks with Russian club Zenit to sign Ezequiel Garay.
Pogba started his senior career in the Premier League with Manchester United, though he left the club for a move to Serie A due to limited first-team opportunities.
Furthermore, Chinese defender, Zhang Linpeng, has received a formal invitation from Chelsea, although it would represent a little consolation in Mourinho’s troubled pursuit of John Stones.
Despite Juventus’ fantastic 2014/15 season, the Bianconeri have lost the likes of Carlos Tevez, Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal this summer, which has led to speculation about Pogba’s future in the new campaign.
Paul Pogba is demanding to be among the highest paid players in the game if he is to join Chelsea.

While any deal will prove hard, Chelsea are looking to test Juventus’ resolve by tabling a mammoth amount for the Frenchman. The Catalan giants are expected to make a formal move for the French world class midfielder once their transfer ban gets lifted.
