“The Clinton Foundation must be immediately shut down and an independent special prosecutor be appointed to determine if access to Hillary Clinton was for sale”, Pence said.
If Hillary Clinton is elected, the former president said the foundation would accept contributions only from USA citizens, permanent residents and US -based independent foundations, whose names would continue to be disclosed on a quarterly basis.
The newly released email exchanges appeared to show that a rich donor, Casey Wasserman, asked Bill Clinton aide Doug Band to contact Abedin for help in setting up a meeting with diplomatic officials in London, which put a new focus on the sometimes awkward ties between the Clinton Foundation and the State Department. “When that 3 am phone call comes, Americans deserve to have a president on the line who is not compromised by foreign donations”, Priebus said.
“When she got caught, Mrs Clinton cherry-picked the emails she’d turn over to State and tried to destroy the rest”.
Shortly after this meeting, Clinton’s State Department
The former president outlined the Clinton Foundation’s accomplishments and planned shift in scope in an email to about 500,000 supporters.
Trump’s comments came after the discovery that more than half the people outside the government who met with Clinton while she was Secretary of State gave money, either personally or through companies or groups, to the Clinton Foundation. “We’re not responding to the outside criticism”, she said. “But you know, it happens all the time”.
Bill Clinton “will not be involved” in the initiatives that are spinning off or merging with another foundation, Shalala said.

“The new revelations about Clinton’s email scandal make clear we have only seen the tip of the iceberg”, he said. “It would be a dereliction of duty by President Obama and his Justice Department if they fail to act on these startling new facts right now”, he demanded. She also pointed to the presidential library and Clinton center in Little Rock, Ark. Thanking Cher, Clinton said: “I can’t tell you how excited I am to have Cher here”.
