“It makes it a little bit more fun and it makes it a lot easier because it’s a bigger facility, easier to move around, much more opportunities to interact with the dogs in the bigger area”, said Greg Carroll, a Forsyth Humane Society volunteer.

The St. Augustine Humane Society’s spay, neuter and surgery clinic is open every Tuesday from 8:00 a.m.to 4 p.m.
“The Office Cat program was designed as a way to get some of our shelter pets out of the shelter and into more home-type environments”, said Amanda Kruzynski from the humane society.
The Schoulers wanted to honor the memory of their dog, who would catch a streetcar every day to bring Mr. Schouler his lunch.
Dr. Mark Wright, director of shelter medicine at the Humane Society of Missouri, was examining the dogs.
Additionally, the nonprofit has started its own “Spay it Forward” campaign which asks clients to contribute to a fund that pays for those who can not afford spay and neuter services for their pets through the new grant and other programs.

It is named in honor of two more dogs, bassett hounds Franklin and Peabody Morykwas, whose owners, Chris and Mike Morykwas, helped fund expansion of the old building and construction of the new one.
