Cheryl was washing her hands in the photo and not looking at whatever it was, however, and many have simply concluded that it was a trick of the light reflecting off the mirror.
Hours after the photo emerged and her subsequent legal action, Versini made public appearances again on Tuesday as she attended an interview on BBC Radio 1 and a charity event in Picadilly after, the Daily Mail reported.
It reads: “Hold on to every genuine person you find”.
The picture – which has since been deleted – was captioned: “Sadness in her eyes”.
On their Twitter account, the girls often praise Cheryl – who they consider to be a “sister” – and the amount of time she devotes to helping them advance in the contest, so it’s not at all surprising then that the girls would want to defend and support Cheryl when she’s subjected to criticism and/or abuse online.
The photograph in question was uploaded by a fashion journalist after the British Fashion Awards on Monday evening.
There is no suggestion that what appeared to look like a white substance belonged to Cheryl, or that she was involved in drug-taking in any way.
