Cheryl Mills Clinton Foundation Entanglements Deepen Email Scandal

The emails were revealed after Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, released on Tuesday 296 pages of State Department records-44 of them were emails that were not turned over by Clinton to the State Department.

Still, that doesn’t mean these emails should be dismissed, nor should the general concern about overlap between the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton-run State Department.

The emails make clear that Band wanted to connect Chagoury with either Huma Abedin, Clinton’s deputy chief of staff, or Jeffrey Feltman, then a senior State Department official, who had recently left a post as the ambassador to Lebanon. Abedin responds that “personnel has been sending him options”.

The New York Times reported that in one exchange, the Foundation wanted to put a billionaire donor Gilbert Chagoury in touch with the us ambassador to Lebanon “because of the donor’s interests there”. “And the government should be turning that information over, when you have a breakdown in that system, we have a breakdown in our democracy”. “Very imp”, Mr Band wrote.

The executive – Douglas J. Band, also a personal assistant to former President Bill Clinton – asked Abedin to call the businessman, Gilbert Chagoury. “Everybody I know. helps their friends”, he said. In an interview with CNN Wednesday, Feltman denied he ever met with Chagoury.

Officials investigated the former secretary of state’s private email server and read approximately 30,000 emails that Clinton handed over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2014.

Hillary Clinton speaks at a press conference announcing a new initiative between the Clinton Foundation, United Nations Foundation, and Bloomberg Philanthropies, on December 15, 2014 in New York City.

The case is yet one more instance raising questions about the possible intermingling of Clinton’s work as secretary of state and her family’s charity foundation.

Mr Trump tweeted: “When is the media going to talk about Hillary’s policies that have gotten people killed, like Libya, open borders, and maybe her emails?”

Again with the damn emails… but this time Hillary could be in big trouble for a “pay-to-play” scheme with the Clinton Foundation.

They are communications between Clinton aides and the foundation president’s personal aide, Schwerin said in a statement quoted by news reports.

“Clinton’s top aides’ favors for and interactions with the Clinton Foundation seem in violation of the ethics agreements that Hillary Clinton agreed to in order to be appointed and confirmed as secretary of state”, it said. But Cuomo wasn’t buying the notion that Clinton wouldn’t know about what some of her closest aides were up to – particularly if they were doing something Clinton told the public she wouldn’t do.

“As I recall, these discussions involved whether this event might affect Secretary Clinton’s email”, Mills said in follow-up answers to an earlier deposition given to Judicial Watch. “It violates the commitment Secretary Clinton made to Congress and the Executive Branch following her nomination to be Secretary of State”. Now!’ the email said.
