Chevrolet Camaro 1LE First Look Review
The nifty Performance Data Recorder feature, essentially a lap-recording camera and lap-time analysis software that first debuted on the Corvette, is optional on both 1LEs.

Only a couple of days after a rumor emerged onto the web, Chevy have made the news official by introducing the 1LE package for the 2017 Camaro.
Reintroduced on the previous-generation (fifth-generation) Camaro after more than a decade away, the 1LE package incorporates a track-ready suspension setup, wider wheels and sticky summer tires, mild aerodynamic add-ons, and extra cooling for the engine and driveline.
The 1LE package for the sixth-generation Camaro will be available in late 2016 for both V-6 and V-8 coupes with manual transmissions. The 335 HP V6 gets FE3 suspension components from the Camaro SS, including dampers, rear cradle mounts, ball-jointed rear toe links and stabilizer bars.
Camaro 1SS buyers who opt for the 1LE package will get magnetic ride control with FE4 suspension tuning, segment-exclusive electronic limited slip differential, and Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The package will also include Goodyear Eagle F1 tire sand Recaro seat, with an option for a Performance Data Recorder.
Aero and visual differentiators include a front splitter and unique high-flow upper and lower grilles tailored to feed the track-cooling package, but with satin black accents to differentiate them from the aftermarket accessory versions of these grilles, which come in other colors.
Handling is the main focus of the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE, and the V-6 version is bound to keep pace with its mechanical limited-slip differential and 3.27:1 final-drive ratio. Also included are a pair of deeply bolstered Recaro bucket seats-which are optional on the V-6 1LE-covered in a grippy cloth with microsuede inserts. Big Brembo brakes can be found at all four corners with six-piston calipers and 14.6-inch two-piece rotors up front (7 percent larger than on the SS), and four-piston calipers in the rear. There are no special logos, except on the brake calipers, which means the only way you’ll recognize one of these is when it’s running away from you on-track-which is what it was built for. That’s no accident. As before, the 1LE package is strictly a chassis upgrade, and ordering it changes nothing about the Camaro’s six- and eight-cylinder engines. “As a result, it offers incredible performance for Camaro V-6 customers”. The Camaro SS 1LE will be equipped with a 6.2L, V-8 with 455 horsepower.
