The 2017 Corvette Grand Sport is the track-focused sports auto for the common person, and Chevrolet announced on Friday just how much that person will have to pay in order to get it: $66,445, at the car’s cheapest.

In case you are unfamiliar with the Corvette range, the Grand Sport is essentially an enhanced track-orientated version of the regular Z06. Considering the Grand Sport has all the suspension, braking, body, and tire upgrades the standard Z06 has, it’s hard to pass up this Corvette.
They include Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, Brembo brakes, standard magnetic ride control and an electronic limited-slip differential.
The Grand Sport with the available Z07 Package and eight-speed automatic boasts a zero-to-60 miles per hour time of 3.6 seconds and a quarter-mile sprint of 11.8 seconds.
Chevy says that the Grand Sport is able to generate 1.2g lateral acceleration with the Z07 package.
The extra grunt of the supercharged LT4 might be missed by some, but with the additional wallet weight of the Grand Sport you could throw some performance mods at the LT1.
Bridging the gap between the wild Z06 and the regular Stingray by offering just about everything except the supercharger from the former on the latter, the Corvette Grand Sport goes on sale this summer. A seven-speed manual with Active Rev Match is standard. Also, while we don’t have the pricing for the new Z07 package for the Grand Sport, that is the only way that you can get the Z06 Carbon Ceramic Matrix brakes and the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Cup tires on a Stingray-based C7 Corvette. Also optional are full-length stripes in five colors, five wheel choices, and carbon fiber ground effects. “The Corvette Grand Sport’s custom ordering options take personalization to an unprecedented level, enabling customers to create their own Corvette Grand Sport statement”.
Later in the model year, Chevrolet will offer a Grand Sport Collector Edition (shown) with Watkins Glen Gray Metallic paint, Tension Blue hash-mark graphics, satin black full-length stripes, black wheels, and a Tension Blue full leather and suede-wrapped interior that may burn your eyes out.
