Classic auto buffs from all over Michigan and the world will converge in metro Detroit this weekend for the annual Woodward Dream Cruise. As it stands, too many modern minivans and midsize sedans full of spectators mix with the classics on the Saturday Dream Cruise route. The Silverado is a black four-door with a North Carolina special issue veterans license plate.

Anyone with information on any of the stolen vehicles are asked to call police or H.E.A.T. Skies today are mostly sunny, with a high near 87.

The cars add to the something-for-everyone appeal that makes the Dream Cruise unique.
As the day moves along, crowds were enjoying bumper-to-bumper traffic around Pontiac, Birmingham, Royal Oak and Ferndale. Larry Fenner, 50, of Livonia and his wife Kathy found a spot on the grass along Woodward near Edward Rose & Sons, just north of Lone Pine Road.
I don’t feel it’s a matter of if but, a matter of when, the Land of the Rising Sun begins to invade Motor City for the iconic Woodward Dream Cruise.
“This is pretty neat to see all the cars, the people and the event itself”, Harvick told FOXSports.com as he powered through the gears and drove along Woodward Avenue, his first time at the event.
The carnival features live music all day with bounce houses and plenty of classic carnival attractions. He used to cruise Woodward during the summers when he was in high school.
Gotthelf, one of the originators of the cruise, marveled at its growth.
