Chevy Silverado Realtree Edition announced

Chevy and camouflage-clothing maker Realtree say they’re continuing a “decade-long partnership”, though this is the first production pickup collaboration between these two Main Street favorites. The interior also includes other Realtree camo logos and graphics.

Chevy took the Realtree Edition a step beyond just simply slapping camo on its Silverado, as it also installed some black-colored bits for good measure. The latter are wrapped up in all-terrain tires to help deliver the traction any hunter would need when travelling off the beaten path. The outdoorsy theme carries through its genuine camouflage graphics from Realtree on the outside, and embroidered Realtree logos on the front-seat headrests.

The vehicle also has some more additional equipment for off-roading, such as the Z71 off-road package with Rancho monotube shocks, Hill Decent Control, an underbody shield, the G80 auto locking rear differential, standard four-wheel disc brakes with Duralife brake rotors, new phone integration, 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity, new wireless phone charging or new available remote locking tailgate.

Customers of the Silverado Realtree Edition will have the opportunity to opt for either a 5.3-liter or 6.2-liter V8 engine, with power ranging between 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque for the smaller of the two V8s and topping out at 420 hp and 460 lb-ft.

There’s no word on pricing yet, but we’ll find out before sales of the Silverado Realtree commence this coming spring. My guess is that it’ll be at least a few grand more than the $46,165 base price of the Silverado LTZ Z71.
