In similar way, Blackhawks’ management had same response as they stated that; “We are aware of the matter and are in the process of gathering information”.
Police in Buffalo have launched an investigation after a woman accused Kane of rape, according to reports in the US.. No charges have been placed against Kane at this time.
Chicago Blackhawks right wing Patrick Kane is now being investigated for a sexual assault in Hamburg, New York. The accuser went to a nearby hospital and a rape kit was administered but no results have been made public, according to The Buffalo News. Police searched Kane’s Old Lakeview Road residence on Sunday, August 3. Kane (and his cousin both) pled guilty to disorderly conduct.
Kane has not been charged.
Blackhawk sources on Friday said the cup was in the Buffalo area, at the home of Scotty Bowman, the senior adviser for hockey operations who also lives in the area.

Kane’s attorney, Paul J. Cambria Jr., declined to comment when contacted by The Buffalo News on Thursday.
“The times kind of changed when I was coming up”, he said. He was arrested after an altercation with a cab driver in Buffalo in 2009, and admitted it was “time to grow up a little bit” after being photographed shirtless in a limousine in Vancouver in 2010.
Blackhawks spokesman Brandon Faber said he doesn’t know whether the Cup will be in Buffalo Saturday or whether Kane will take his turn with it. “It would not be appropriate to provide further comment at this time”. Moreover, Cambria refused to confirm whether he is actually representing Kane or whether he is aware of the accusation against the star athlete. If you have watched Eight Men Out there is a scene (which is a part of history) in the movie when a kid looks up to Shoeless Joe Jackson and says, “Say it’s isn’t so, Joe”.

As Kane spends the day with trophy, police have suggested that the investigation won’t be over any time soon.
