Chicago Fire Injures at Least Three, Destroys Second City Offices
Two firefighters and one other person have been injured in a fire in a building that houses the offices of Chicago’s famed Second City theater company.

The fire is happening at the Adobo Grill on 218 W. North Ave. right next to the comedy theater.
The building is likely more than 100 years old, and Langford said the old wood on the roof probably fueled the fire. The main Second City building was not affected.

The Second City’s offices on the upper floors of 1612 N. Wells were “pretty much shot”, said the fire department spokesperson, according to the report. The theater tweeted that all faculty and training center campers were safely evacuated from their building, and all shows are canceled Wednesday night. Preliminary information indicated the blaze may have started as a grease fire in the kitchen of the Adobo Grill restaurant on the first floor, according to Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford. The fire was raised to a 3-11 alarm by 2:30 p.m., as firefighters battled flames shooting through the roof.
