Chicago police release video of 18-year-old black man shot, klled

Chicago police officers were caught high-fiving and double-checking to make sure their body cameras were off after the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Paul O’Neal in video released Friday, causing tensions to escalate.

The videos show the auto slamming into a squad auto and then speeding away, which was immediately followed by an officer firing multiple shots at the fleeing vehicle.

At this point O’Neal is still alive, and the officer is seen grabbing his hand and pulling it behind his back to handcuff him, as blood soaks the back of the victim’s shirt where the bullet entered.

Another officer who fired shots as the teen ran from his vehicle rues the realization that he will likely be put on restricted duty for opening fire. Both officers fire at the Jaguar as it drives away. However, the force later confirmed no weapon was recovered from the scene.

A lawyer representing the O’Neal family said the video was “horrific” and has accused the officers of murder.

The video release is the first under a new Chicago PD policy which calls for video to be released within 60 days of an incident. One officer also appears to stand on top of O’Neal. Another officer can be heard asking, “Why did you have to shoot at us?”

After leaving the backyard, the second officer’s partner can be heard saying, “Fuck, man. I’m gonna be on the desk for 30 goddamn days now”.

The Tribune said Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson has since stripped three officers of their police powers for reportedly violating department policies.

Chicago officials are bracing for possible protests after the release of videos related to the fatal shooting of an unarmed teenager.

“Shots were coming at us when the auto was coming at us”. She did not elaborate.

Reports are police chased and opened fire on O’Neal after they encountered him in a stolen Jaguar near where he took his last breath.

“We don’t believe there was any intentional misconduct with body cameras”, he said.

Oppenheimer called for a special prosecutor to investigate the case. “The family was so distraught … that they have left”.

While one officer is trying to get through to the garden, four shots can be heard. The officer is looking for his stun gun and says “I think I shot that motherf– man”.

An autopsy confirmed that O’Neal died of a gunshot wound to the back.

More than a half-dozen officers are seen racing between houses into backyards in pursuit of a person who fled from the vehicle. One officer needs help scaling a wooden gate. Another is unable to climb over and walks around to the rear of another home where the suspect is on the ground.
