President Barack Obama will take his push for tighter gun measures directly to the American people Thursday, in a nationally televised town hall meeting that comes two days after his emotional announcement of new executive actions to cut gun violence.

Taking the stage at George Mason University, Obama accused the NRA of refusing to join the debate despite having its headquarters nearby. “All of us are interested in fighting crime”.
And, looking ahead to the presidential race, Mr Trump attacked other Democrats and front-runnner Hillary Clinton alongside Mr Obama. But she said he also wanted to begin a broader conversation about what he views as the need for more gun regulations.
“All of us can agree that it makes sense to do everything we can to keep guns out of the hands of people who would do others harm, or themselves harm”, Obama said. The right side of her body is largely paralyzed.
“I actually think he was honest, I’ll probably go down about 5 points in the polls by saying that, but I think he was honest”, Mr Trump said.
In an article published before pressing his case in a prime time forum, Obama said he would blackball even members of his own Democratic party if necessary. “I wake up every day grateful that I have a second chance at life and a second chance at service”.
