Chicago woman fatally shot pushing baby stroller
She is the cousin of National Basketball Association star Dwyane Wade, who recently joined the Chicago Bulls. With 463 murders as of Wednesday, Chicago is on pace to record its largest number of homicides since 1997, when 761 people were killed in the city. Wade took to Twitter not long after the news broke. Jones said the woman and her family had recently relocated to the neighborhood and she was on her way to register her kids at school when she was shot. The report states that she was walking in the 6300 block of South Calumet around 3:30 p.m. when two males approached another male and opened fire, police said.
