Chicken McGriddle being tested at central Ohio McDonald’s

According to Columbus Business First, select McDonald’s in Central Ohio are testing a new McGriddle made with crispy chicken patties.

But the Chicken McGriddle came out on top. It’s a McChicken with maple syrup McGriddles for buns.

You’ve heard of chicken and waffles… well, how about chicken and pancakes? But that could change soon if a new menu item from McDonald’s succeeds in Ohio.

Columbia Business First reports that this version has a fried chicken patty in the middle instead. ‘I just think that’s something that isn’t out there right now’. Residents in Central Ohio will soon be able to enjoy it at McDonald’s.

Sales won’t really determine if it sticks around, since it won’t be advertised.

The Big Mac and the Filet-O-Fish, two of McDonald’s best-known sandwiches, were both created by franchisees during the 1960s.

The Chicken McGriddle will be available until March 27 and the restaurants are even experiment with two prices: $1.49 and $2.
