Chief Keef running for Chicago mayor?

Sosa, as he’s affectionately known, has made Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel a nemesis and has announced he’s running for the mayoral office on Twitter.

The Chicago-born rapper recently faced opposition from local authorities when he planned to host a concert via hologram in the US city in memory of local rapper Capo and a 13-month-old baby, who were killed earlier this month in a drive-by shooting.

Chief Keef has been making slight moves to change his notorious image and has attempted a pair of concerts aimed at quelling the gang violence in his native Chicago only to be shut down by police.

Keef tweeted out Emanuel’s phone number and urged his supporters to give him this message: “Tell him to stay the f- off the people’s music”.

The social media posts are all part of the teenage rapper’s beef with Emanuel, whose office canceled a benefit concert that Chief Keef had been due to headline in July out of concerns for public safety, NBC reports.

Emanuel was sworn in for a four year term in May. Keef was additionally called an “unacceptable role model” who “promotes violence”.

Chief Keef chose to perform at the gig via hologram instead of risk returning to the Chicago area, where he has outstanding warrants for his arrest related to separate child support cases.
