Officer Ronald Tarentino, 42, was fatally shot during a traffic stop in Auburn, Massachusetts.

A police officer shot and killed during a traffic stop was remembered Friday for his dedication, professionalism, willingness to help anyone and sense of humor during a funeral attended by officers from across the state. “My heart goes out to them and I know I am not alone in saying that Officer Tarentino will never be forgotten”.

The memory of a late MA state trooper who was shot and killed Sunday lives on in the play of a trio of Bay State teams. “I can’t do anything but hope obviously something good comes out of this”, Boston CBS reported Spenser Tarentino, Ronald Tarentino’s son, as having said.

The trooper suffered a gunshot wound to his shoulder when Zambrano opened fire on him and two other tactical operations team members inside the Oxford duplex where he was hiding.

Just last week, Zambrano was arrested by a state trooper while he was driving an SUV with a license plate not registered to that vehicle.

A police officer, a husband, and a father of three was laid to rest Friday after he was tragically killed on the job protecting those he vowed to serve.
