Chiefs continue their wait for Jamaal Charles and Tamba Hali
Fantasy Impact: 2016 fantasy owners have not seemed to read into the fact that Charles has yet to play in any of Kansas City’s games this preseason.

“Ware has become a top-40 running back based on the opportunity to not only handle the bulk of the load in September, but perhaps continue in a timeshare in which Charles is more of a specialty player and receiver out of the backfield”.
Chiefs beat writer Adam Teicher first reported on Tuesday that Charles was behind schedule on his recovery and wasn’t working as a full feature back.
“I’m ready for what the coaches ask”, Charles said. Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West have been getting the reps with the ones, with Charles slowly being eased back in. “I’d go game to game with him but if there’s ever a great time for him to be hit or miss for fantasy, it’s early”.
“For Jamaal, it’s [a matter of] getting trust in the leg, ” Reid said.
The Chiefs can afford to take the longer view with Charles.
“Every day he does a little bit more and a little bit more, and his cuts are a little sharper”, Reid said.
We still like Charles’ chances of being a RB1 as the season progresses, but now is not the time.
“I had surgery on this knee a year prior, ” he said.
Hali has played with chronically aching knees for at least the past two seasons.

They are counting on at least one more strong season from Hali. “I’m just being joyful and thankful, having thanksgiving in these moments right now, because I could be on the couch watching TV”. There’s going to be pain in my knee.
