Chiefs Likely To Use Running Back By Committee Approach

SAN DIEGO- The Chargers open their season in Kansas City this Sunday, hoping to end a four game losing streak to the Chiefs.

Travis initially gave his football dream a shot a year ago when he participated in Penn State’s Pro Day and eventually earned a preseason camp invite with Bill O’Brien’s Houston Texans.

After falling short of glory numerous times in his career during seasons in which his teams were good for nearly two decades now, one could even say that the 58-year-old has grown accustomed to it.

Heading into the 2016 National Football League regular season, the Kansas City Chiefs are the favorite to win the AFC West. If the defense can slow Jamaal Charles and his buddies down, they can force Alex Smith to put the ball in the air on third-and-long situations.

BUCKLING DOWN: There are also questions in the secondary, where second-year pro Steven Nelson and Phillip Gaines have been competing for the starting cornerback spot opposite Defensive Rookie of the Year Marcus Peters.
