The newest search engine on the block is seeking to stand-out from the crowd by targeting children with a Google custom search bar to weed out adult content.

And now it appears the next generation of internet users will have access to Google from an even earlier age but in an all new guise after the search engine launched a new kid-friendly version this week. Generally the first three results are written and proof-read by Kiddle editors specifically for kids and are safe for them to read.
In a departure from Google’s minimalistic white background, Kiddle features a space theme, complete with an “alien” robot.
‘Sites appearing in Kiddle search results satisfy family friendly requirements, as we filter sites with explicit or deceptive content, ‘ the company explained.
The succeeding four to seven results will include those written in words easily comprehensible to kids.
The search engine turns put in a very specific way.
Kiddle also features big image thumbnails and fonts so kids can read the text better.
Mirror says it has already reached out to Kiddle for comment regarding the matter.
While other people seem to have mistaken this site for a Google spinoff, do note that this is not associated with the Mountain View-based company.

While Kiddle has not been produced by the search giant, it does aim to give children the ability to search the internet safely. In addition, the search engine claims to clear its logs every 24 hours and doesn’t collect personal information.
