No more remains have been found and the park remains under investigation until further notice.

Locals say there have been no reports of a missing child in the community recently.
Several additional items, which reportedly appeared to be “machinery or tools”, were also recovered from the lagoon Sunday.
The park is not flawless though; body parts have been found in the park in the past, said Perry Starks, a member of the Garfield Park Advisory Council, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The foot was found around 4:40 p.m. near the lagoon, in the 200 block of North McCrea Drive, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police Department spokesman. Jason Ervin (28th) said the police were ending the search for the night and would return at daylight.
The park is closed indefinitely as police investigate.
Meanwhile, forensic experts at the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office are examining the body parts in order to ascertain the identity of the young victim. He said that they were also willing to drain the entire lagoon if the need arose. Police arrived to find a child’s left foot and eventually other body parts belonging to a toddler.
He added that he had not heard of any missing children in the area.
About a dozen detectives could be seen walking around the lagoon on an unseasonably hot day in the grim search for more remains.
Garfield Park is well-patrolled and considered safe, said Ricky Smith, 54, who lives in the area.
‘People come to this park because there are never shenanigans here, ‘ he said.

“My main concern is that this is not a larger incident”, Ervin said Sunday afternoon while addressing reporters yards from the lagoon.
