China issues safety warning after attacks on Olympic delegates in Rio

In order to avoid punishments including getting keelhauled in the toxic sludge of Rio de Janeiro’s Guanabara Bay, Olympic athletes have spent the last few weeks getting all their social media thanks and acknowledgements to non-Olympic sponsors out of the way before the blackout period begins.

Australian Olympic team members were forced to evacuate their lodgings on Friday at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics after a small fire in a basement parking area caused smoke to fill the stairwells.

“All athletes were safely evacuated and are now back in the building”.

China’s delegation of athletes and officials in Rio numbers 711 people; the largest for the nation aside from 2008 when it hosted in Beijing.

With 83 percent of Instagrammers enthusiastic about the 2016 Olympics, take advantage by sharing creative that plays off the games.

Luiz Ernesto Magalhaes of O Globo newspaper wrote: “I can say that it was easy to approach places that are supposed to be very well guarded, like electrical generators”.

Australia finally moved staff and athletes into the village on Wednesday, three days after the official opening on Sunday.

Australian committee spokesman Mike Tancred was not having it.

The fire will once again draw attention to Rio’s spotty preparations, which have been marred by the Zika virus, severe water pollution, crime, and slow ticket sales. The Australian team initially refused to move into its Village accommodations last weekend, citing shoddy conditions, including blocked toilets and risky wiring.
